William M. Alcock, 73 of Davis Junction, IL; passed away on Monday, June 11, 2012 at his home. He was born on May 10, 1939 in Rochelle, the son of Clyde L. and Adelaide S. (McKenzie) Alcock. Bill graduated form Rochelle Township High School in 1957 and then received a Bachelors Degree in Education in1962, from IL State University in Normal, IL, and later an Associates Degree in Computer Science from Rock Valley College in Rockford. On Dec. 27, 1967 in Rockford, IL, he married Lonna Jean Leander. Memberships include Union Church in Lindenwood, IL and Rockford Skeet Club. Bill farmed, was a Machine Vision Integrator, and was a computer consultant for 16 years for Alcock Consulting.
Survivors include his wife: Lonna of Davis Junction; sons: Scott (Cheryl) Alcock of St. Louis, MO, Bryce (Lylia) Alcock of Buffalo Grove, IL and Trevor (Rachel) Alcock of Montgomery, IL; 3 grandchildren: Ellina Libman, and Edgar and Aaron Alcock; sister: Alice (Henry) Bell of Nobelsville, IN; and niece: Arianne (Colin) Clarke of Rockford, IL.
Services will be at the Lindenwood Union Church on Saturday, June 16, 2012 at 10:00 AM, with Rev. Les and Rev. Pat McClelland and Rev. Dean Parker officiating. Visitation at Unger- Horner Funeral Home in Rochelle on Friday, June 15th from 4 to 7 PM. Burial at Lindenwood Cemetery. Memorials to Lindenwood Union Church or Rockford Skeet Club.
