Wesley L. Belden, 73, died January 9, 2013 at Great Bend Regional Hospital, Great Bend, Kansas. He was born February 7, 1939 at Binghamton, New York, the son of Helen (Cobb) Belden. He married Judy Smee Dean August 29, 1992 at Hoisington, Kansas. A Pawnee Rock resident since 2007, coming from Hoisington, Mr. Belden was a truck driver and a diesel mechanic. He was an associate minister at the Assembly of God, Crossroads Living Joy Church, and House of Flames where he taught International School of Ministry. He was a musician, playing keyboard, guitar, and many other instruments. He enjoyed carpentry work.

Mr. Belden was a member of Christian Motorcycle Association.

Survivors include his wife, Judy Belden, of the home; three sons: Irvin Belden, Fred Belden, and Walter Belden; five daughters: Mariea, Billie Jo Belden, Sheryl Taylor, Valerie Allton, and Melanie Pray; many brothers and sisters, including Bill Parker; twenty-two grandchildren; and eleven great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two sons, Wesley L. Belden, Jr. and John Belden; and one daughter, Angel Belden.

Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m., Monday, January 14, 2013 at Bryant Funeral Home. Pastor John Thomas will officiate. Burial will be in Lyons District Cemetery. Friends may call from 1:00 to 9:00 p.m., with the family receiving friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., Sunday, January 13, 2013 at Bryant Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions to the Wesley L. Belden Funeral Expense Fund, in care of the funeral home.
