Scott A. Fruin, 47, of Oregon died Thursday Sept. 10, 2009. He was born May 19, 1962 in Oregon. Scott was a shift operating supervisor, currently OPS Training manager, at Exelon Byron station. He was active playing volleyball and enjoyed photography, woodworking, the Cubs, and the Bears. He is survived by his mother, Peggy Schams of Sun City, AZ; father, Ronald Fruin, Sr. of Indianapolis, IN; children, Stephanie (Greg) Austin and David (Rachel) Wahl and their mother, Linda (Curt) Wahl all of Springfield, MO; and their step-mother, Kelly Fruin of Rockford; grandchildren, Sakara, Hayden, Keana, Noah, and Levi; brothers, Peter (Cheryl) Fruin of Bedford, NH, Timothy (Lynn) Fruin of Roscoe, IL, Ronald, Jr. (Tina) Fruin of Cambodia, and John (Molly) Fruin of Lawrenceburg, IN; and paternal grandparents, Harold & Florence Fruin of Stillman Valley. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents. Funeral services will be held Wednesday Sept.16, 2009 at 10:00 AM in Elim Reformed Church, Kings, IL with Pastor Jerry Dykstra officiating. Burial will be in Daysville Cemetery. Visitation will be held Tuesday from 6:00-8:00 PM in the Farrell-Holland-Gale Funeral Home, 110 S. 7th St., Oregon. Memorials may be directed to the family for an educational fund for the grandchildren.
