OREGON - Janis A. Amerpohl, 53, of Oregon, died Wednesday April 1, 2009 in her home. Born December 12, 1955 in South St. Paul, Minn., the daughter of Alan R. and Alene (Wagner) Anderson. She lived in the Rochelle - Oregon area past 30 years after graduating from high school in Wilson, NC. Married to Mark Amerpohl November 23, 1996 in Oregon. Janis was a demographic coordinator at Kable News in Mt. Morris the past 7 years and previously worked for Dawson Subscription Services. She was also co-owner of The Cheese Shop at Conover Square in Oregon. Janis was very active in the Illinois Doberman Rescue program and loved being outdoors working in her flower garden and sharing the gift of her "green thumb". Survived by her husband, Mark of Oregon; mother, Alene Anderson of Rockwall, TX; son, Jay Dillon of Oregon; daughter, Allison Dillon of Oregon; brother, William (Ellen) Anderson of Westchester, OH; sisters, Joyce (Joel) Eby of Wichita, KS and Kristine (Darryl) McGee of Rockwall, TX; sisters-in-law, Mary Humphrey and Luanne (Scott) Strohecker both of Freeport; and many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her father. Memorial Services will be held at 1:00pm Saturday April 4 in Global Harvest Church, 220 W. Third St., Byron with Pastor Gary Cortese officiating. No visitation. Burial at a later date. Memorials may be made to Ogle County Hospice or the American Cancer Society. The family was assisted by Farrell-Holland-Gale Funeral Home, Oregon.
