Emanuel Boger, 95, died July 7, 2014 at St. Francis Hospital, Tulsa, Oklahoma. He was born June 27, 1919 at Hoisington, Kansas, the son of Jacob and Salamena (Radke) Boger. He married Frances Fern Lust January 2, 1946 at Hoisington. A Great Bend resident since 1947, coming from Hoisington, Mr. Boger was owner and operator of Parkview Service Station and Boger Retail Liquor. He was a United States Army veteran, serving during World War II.

Mr. Boger was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and American Legion Argonne Post 180, both of Great Bend.

Survivors include his wife, Frances Fern Boger, of the home; one daughter, Judy Belford and her husband Robert, Tulsa, Oklahoma; two sisters: Irene Kimpler, Ellinwood, Kansas; and Clara Cook, Colorado Springs, Colorado; two grandchildren: Heather Martin, Tulsa, Oklahoma; and Jeremy Belford, Tulsa, Oklahoma; and six great- grandchildren: Molly Summers, Emma Summers, Parker Belford, Braden Martin, Madison Martin, and Mia Martin. He was preceded in death by one brother, Armen Boger; and four sisters: Wilma Krug, Othelia Krug, Mary Lou Holmes, and Alvina Haas.

Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m., Friday, July 11, 2014 at Trinity Lutheran Church, Great Bend, with the Reverend Mark P. Galbraith officiating. Burial will be in Great Bend Cemetery, with military rites by Fort Riley Honor Guard. Friends may call from 9:00 a.m., to 9:00 p.m., with the family receiving friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Thursday, July 10, 2014 at Bryant Funeral Home. Memorials are requested to Trinity Lutheran Church, in care of the funeral home.
