Delbert Herman Hageman, Age 86, a lifelong Naperville, IL farmer, departed this life on Sunday, February 20, 2011 at his son's residence in Rochelle, IL.

Delbert was born June 15, 1924 on the Hageman Farm on Rt. 34 and attended Granger School. A graduate of Naperville High School with the Class of 1943, he was active in the Future Farmers of America (FFA).

On February 28, 1948, Delbert was united in marriage to Beverly Mae Baish from Plainfield, IL and they began farming on the LaVerne Bronk Farm in Wheatland Township. In 1955, they returned to the Hageman Farm and raised livestock, milked cows and produced crops until his retirement.

Delbert was a 30+ year member of the Pure Milk Association and Superintendent of Grain and Swine at the DuPage County Fair for many years. He was a 24 year exhibitor of grains, seeds, and forages at the Sandwich Fair and was named Champion on several occasions. Delbert was a lifelong member of St. John's United Church of Christ in Naperville. Life was a joy to Delbert and each day was filled with laughter. He loved to dance and always enjoyed a good polka.

He is survived by his wife, Beverly (nee Baish) Hageman, his son, Larry H. (Norene Wuchte) Hageman of Rochelle, two sisters, Clara (the late Laverne) Jackson of Naperville and Bernice (the late Ken) Yeater of Westmont, IL, a niece, Eilleen Jackson of Naperville and nephew, Glen (Kim) Yeater of Westmont, IL, who were also his godchildren. Also by nephews, Randal (Mary Jo) Yeater of Westmont, IL and Dan (Sue) Yeater of Plano, IL and many dear cousins, devoted tenants and close friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Herman and Anna (nee Gress) Hageman, an adult sister, Dorothy A. Staffeldt and an infant sister, Maybelle Hageman.

Additional Visitation Saturday, February 26, 9:00-10:00 A.M. at St. John's United Church of Christ, 1190 Olesen Dr., Naperville.

Funeral Services will follow Saturday, 10:00 A.M. at the church with Rev. Matt Mimlitz officiating. Interment: Lincoln Memorial Park Cemetery, Aurora, IL.
