Oregon, IL - Charles G. "Chuck" Bergman, age 58, died Monday, June 11, 2007 at his home surrounded by his family. He was born July 20, 1948 in Oak Park, IL the son to George R. and Jean (Winslow) Bergman. He married Diane Kowalczyk on May 29, 1977 in Winfield, IL. He served in the U.S. Army as a Captain for 6 years. He obtained his B.S. Degree in Biology from Arkansas Tech. University. Chuck worked several years as an Account Executive for Berger Transportation Solutions in Addison. He and his wife Diane moved to Oregon, IL. 2 �½ years ago from Roselle, IL. He was a member of the Emmanuel Lutheran Church at Paynes Point where he had served as Secretary of the Board. He was also a member of the Rail Road Hobby Club at Conover Square in Oregon. Survived by his wife Diane of Oregon, mother Jean Bergman of Mountain Home, AR, 2 sons; Dan (Erin) Bergman of Roselle, IL, and Paul (Fiancé Jennifer Hurt) Bergman of Stevens Point, WI, 2 grandsons; Bryan and Dylan Bergman, 2 sisters; Theresa (Bob) Magnuson of Peach Tree City, GA, and Joyce (Bill) Brynildssen of Mountain Home, AR. He was predeceased by his father. A Memorial Service will be 11:00 am, Friday, June 15, 2007 at the Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Paynes Point with the Rev. Joanne Adrian pastor of the church officiating. Cremation rites accorded. No visitation. Farrell-Holland-Gale Funeral Home in Oregon is assisting the family with arrangements. In Lieu of flowers memorials are for the American Cancer Society or Ogle County Hospice.
