Beverly Mae Hageman (nee Baish), Age 81, a lifelong Naperville, IL farmer, departed this life on Tuesday, October 11, 2011 in her son's arms at his residence in Rochelle, IL. Beverly was born March 24, 1930 at St. Charles Hospital in Aurora, IL, grew up on the Rose Fazer farm north of Plainfield, IL and attended White School District # 40 . She was a member of Plainfield High School's Class of 1948. On February 28, 1948, Beverly was united in marriage to Delbert Herman Hageman from Naperville and they began a lifelong partnership in farming on the LaVerne Bronk Farm in Wheatland Township. In 1955, they returned to the Hageman Farm on Route 34 in Naperville and raised livestock, milked cows and produced eggs and crops until their retirement in 2001. Growing up and living on a family dairy farm instilled the values of farm life in Beverly: hard work, discipline and responsibility and she applied these traits to all her interests including cooking, gardening, raising poultry, driving her John Deere 3020 tractor and socializing with friends. Beverly was superintendent of Grain at the DuPage County Fair for many years and was a lifelong member of St. John's United Church of Christ in Naperville. Life was a joy to Beverly and each day was filled with kisses, smiles and laughter. She loved to dance and always enjoyed a good polka. She is lovingly survived by her son, Larry H. (Norene Wuchte) Hageman of Rochelle, two sisters-in-law, Clara (the late LaVerne) Jackson of Naperville and Bernice (the late Ken) Yeater of Westmont, IL, a niece, Eilleen Jackson of Naperville and nephews, Glen (Kim) Yeater and their children, Jessica and Justin of Westmont, IL and Dan (Sue) Yeater and their children, Adam, Nick and Bekki of Plano, IL. Also by nephew and godchild, Randal (Mary Jo) Yeater and their sons, Ryan and Jon of Westmont, IL, She is also survived by many dear cousins, devoted tenants and close friends. She was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Delbert H. Hageman, her parents, Claude and Margaret (nee Patton) Baish, her uncle, Ben Baish and aunts, Helen Patton Connors, Faye Baish Crowl, Dorothy Baish Wheaton and Esther Baish Boor and her grandparents, John and Sarah Baish and Thomas and Verena Patton. Visitation Thursday, October 20, 4:00-8:00 P.M. at Unger-Horner Funeral Home, 400 N. 6th St., Rochelle, IL 61068, (815)562-4534. Additional Visitation Friday, October 21, 3:00-9:00 P.M. at Friedrich-Jones Funeral Home, 44 S. Mill St., Naperville. Additional Visitation Saturday, October 22, 9:00-10:00 A.M. at St. John's United Church of Christ, 1190 Olesen Dr., Naperville. Funeral Services will follow Saturday, 10:00 A.M. at the church with Rev. Matt Mimlitz officiating. Interment: Lincoln Memorial Park Cemetery, Aurora, IL.
