What's New? > Find-A-Grave Field

There's now a new optional field for the findagrave.com memorial number.  On the findagrave website, this is found at the very bottom of the person's memorial page.  When this is defined, a tombstone button will show up, linking to their findagrave page.

For existing people who have their findagrave memorial defined as a source, I may be able to do a mass update to copy their number from the source into the new field - stay tuned.

Thank you, this will help things along when entering sources. I am finally getting used to the surroundings and adding information with more ease.

A couple related notes on the Findagrave field -- I copied over from the sources about 1,600 references to findagrave, but only those where the person had only one Findagrave source, and where that source was used for only one person...  trying to avoid cases of a person linked to someone's memorial page that is not there own.

So please use this to link to only a person's own memorial, not to others.  If you want to quote other memorial pages as sources, that's fine.

Tried this out and really do like it. I do believe it will be very useful.
Thank you again Ray.
