Obit: Absolum Bowersox married Susan Fowler, daughter of Benjamin and Kitty Fowler. They (Fowlers) lived on Baltimore Pike in Westminster. Susan Fowler died at her residence on John Street on Tuesday, 19 Jan 1915 at the age of 84 years and 1 week. She was the last of her family.

  • Newspaper, 1903: Absalom H. Bowersox, a well-known farmer and dairyman, died at his home near Westminster, Wednesday, in his 73d year. He leaves a widow, two daughters and two sons -- Miss Nannie Bowersox, at home; James Bowersox, bookkeeper, Jacob J. Bowersox, druggist, and Miss Cecilia K. Bowersox, a typewriter, all of Baltimore.

  • Newspaper, JAN 1915: Mrs. Susan Bowersox. Mrs. Susan, widow of Absolom H. Bowersox, and daughter of the late Benjamin and Kitty Fowler, who resided on the Baltimore pike adjoining this city, died at her residence on John street this city at an early hour on Tuesday morning January 19th, 1915, after a protracted illness of general debility aged 84 years and 1 week. She was the last of the family, her brother Wm. H. having died some years ago near Richmond, Va, where he lived after the war and engaged in farming. She is survived by two daughters, Miss Nannie at home, and Mrs. A. L. Ross of Richmond, Va., two sons, Jacob J., and James F. Bowersox, of Baltimore: eight grandchildren and one great grandchild, besides a number of other relatives, and friends.
    Funeral this Friday morning at 9 A. M. at St. John's Catholic church of which she was a faithful member. Interment in the adjoining cemetery. The pallbearers, were: Messrs. Joseph R. Boyle, Martin Leahy, Thomas O'N. Baumgartner, Wm. H. Yingling and George B. Shriner. F. C. Sharrer, funeral director.
