Born on August 12, 1824, at Round Lake, N. Y., and died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Clara Drummorid, in Cortland, N. Y., on September 10, 1901.
When about twelve years of age his people moved to Windham, Pa., where he spent his early years. When twenty-two years of age he married Miss Elizabeth Ward, who died on May 28, 1886. Eight children were born to them; four of these, two sons and two daughters, are still living. In 1853 he united with the Conference. In 1892 he became a super-annuate, and lived with his son, Albert E., in Brooklyn, N. Y., for some time.
