Will, 3/16/1779: Will of Major Henry Bonner: In the Name of God Amen. I Henry Bonner being now in health and Sound and perfect mind and memory do make and publish this my last will and Testament in manner and form following (that is to say)
Item: I give and bequeath to my daughter Mary Newman one hundred and fity acres of Land Lying on the East side of the Herring Run joining Isaac Chauncey & Ameziah Griffen and likewise my Negro man Ben and my Negro Girl Chloe to her and her heirs forever.
Item: I give unto my Son William Bonner a Track of Land Containing Six hundred and forty acres Lying on the West side of the So dividing Creek Likewise my megro man Jack and my negro man Juba and my negro Girl Mamelia I likewise Lend to my Son William Bonner one half my Cornfield that lays over the Main Road against my Mother Abigail Bonner's plantation for the term of three years and no longer.
Item: I give and bequeath to my Son Henry Snd Bonner the land And plantation my Mother Abigail Bonner now lives on with all the Land my father bought of Seth Pilkinton [Seth Pilkington] and James Cooper with all the orchards hours &c thereunto I likewise give to my Son Henry Snd Bonner my Negro man Simon and my Negro Girl Jenney to him and his heirs forever.

Item I give and bequeath unto my Son Edward Bonner all the Land own in the Great Fork of poyner beaver Dam and a Survey of three hundred acres of Land adjoining James Payne and the Elligoods to him and his heirs forever I Likewise Give to my Son Edward Bonner my Negro boy George and my Negro boy Stephen to his heirs forever
Item I Give unto my daughter Elizabeth Snoad Bonner my Negro woman Clemey to her and her heirs forever
My will and desire is that my Son William Bonner and my Son Henry Snd Bonner both have their Estate delivered to them at the age of Eighteen and my will and desire is that my children that want Education Should be properly Educated by the money arising from the Interest of my estate and I desire my negroes be hired out for that purpose and the Maintenance of the Younger Children as my Exrs may think proper
My will that my Son James Bonner and my Son Edward Bonner be bound to Trades such as my Exrs may think proper and may think proper And my will and desire is that my half of the Saw and Grist Mill on the vever dam that I have Conjuncion with the Estate of Moses Hare Est decd be sold at Publick Vendue giving twelve Months Credit and the money arising therefrom to be applyed towards paying my debts and if that should not be sufficient to pay my debts I desire my Negro man called old Jacob be sold at public sail for that purpose also and if any over plus to be divided amongst all my above Mentioned Children
And I desire that my Exrs have a certain piece of Land surveyed and made Secure that I have Entered between my Land & Abigail Bonner Land and John Kennedys Lake Survey which Land Contains Two hundred acres I give to my Son James I Give to my Son James Bonner to him and his heirs forever
And further my desire is that as soon as my Son William Bonner arrive to the age of Eighteen Years all my Stock of Every Kind and my household furniture of Every Kind be equally divided Amongst all my above mentioned Childred So that they may have their proportionable part as they arrive to age or marriage
Lastly I Constitute and appoint my friend and Nephew Edward Salter and my Son William Bonner to this my Last will and testament as my Executors
