The death of John Edwin Jester at the age of 67 years occured Feb 20 1962 in the Veterans Hospital, Kansas City, where he had been a patient for two weeks. He lived fives miles east of Harrisonville.
Mr Jester was born in this County June 20 1895, where he spent his entire life excepting his Army service during World War I. Surviving him are his wife, Mrs Pearl Jester; his father, Ed Jester; and a brother Clarence Jester. His mother, a sister, Iva Jester, and a brother Charles Jester, predeceased him.
Mr Jester was a member of Cass County Barracks No 1027, Veterans of World War I, Harrisonville.
The funeral was at 2 pm, Saturday, Feb 23, in the Runnenburger Chapel, Harrisonville, the Rev Wesley J Arington, pastor of the local Methodist Church, officiating. Music was by Ernest W Shepherd. Casketbearers were E R Kircher, Jr, Russell Kircher, Johnnie Campbell, Warren Williams, John Duncan and E H Duncan. Burial was in the Orient Cmetery, a mile northeast of Harrisonville.

Pearl Margaret Jester, 92, of Harrisonville,died Dec 18, 1987, at the Camden Health Center in Harrisonville. She was born Feb 18, 1895, at Fall City, Neb , the daughter of John J and Carrie Moberly Williams. She married John Jester on Jan 14, 1918. Mrs Jester moved toHarrisonville in 1910. She was of the Methodist faith. Survivors include a sister, Zelpha E Tatman of Kansas City, and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held Dec 21 at the Atkinson Funeral Home in Harrisonville, withthe Rev. Jim Fleming officiating. Pallbearers were Ervin Kreisel, MoreySpencer, Jay Hartzler, Russel Kircher and Fred Kirecher. Burial in the Orient Cemetery, Harrisonville.
