MRS FRANK ROGERS DIES
Mrs Olive Duncan Rogers, wife of James Franklin Rogers, died in the farm home, southwest of Louisburg, on May 2, 1934, in her 60th year. She leaves besides her husband, an only son, James Franklin Rogers, Jr., of the home, and also these five sisters; Mrs Henry Duncan of Freeman Mo; Mrs John Wilcox, Mrs Wilse Brown, Mrs Bert Davenport, and Mrs Will Davenport, all of West Line, Mo. Mrs Rogers united with the Baptist Church in her girlhood and lived the life of an exemplary member, later transferring her membership to the Christian Church at Louisburg, where the funeral services were held yesterday afternoon, the 3rd, at 2:30 o’clock, conducted by Rev H A Pfost, of Drexel, assisted by the resident pastor, A S Anderson. Interment was in the village cemetery.
Born April 6 1875, near West Line Mo, she spent her early life as girls usually do, attending school and helping at home. She was married to Mr Rogers, October 3,1900 and their first home was a few miles northwest of West Line until they purchased the place in Middle Creek township, where the family has resided ever since. Olive Belle Duncan was the second child of Noah and Jane Elizabeth Duncan, in a family of seven daughters, one Luella, having died in infancy. She commanded the respect of relatives and friends and her tender solicitude for neighbors and their children was always uppermost. The large attendance at her funeral was evidence of the high regard in which she was held by old and young of her lifetime acquaintances.
