- Will, 22 FEB 1830: "In the Name of God, Amen, I, Margaret McGlathery of the district of Southwark, State of Pennsylvania widow considering the uncertainly of this Transitory Life and being of sound disposing mind and memory do make and declare this my Last Will and Testament in the manner following that is to say I order all my just debts funeral expenses and charges paid and satisfied and after payment thereof and every part thereof. I order that all of my Estate real personal and miscel. Wherewith at the time of my decease. I shall be witnessed in invested in which shall belong of right appertain unto me to be sold at such times as my Executors shall think convenient and after sale and payment the proceeds thereof to be distributed in Five equal shares or one fifth share I give and bequeath unto my grandaughter Mrs. Margaret Smith and her Heirs I give and bequeath to my daughter, Mrs. Mary Robinette and her Heirs one fifth shares. I give and bequeath unto s such children of my desceased son James McGlathery as may be living at the time of my demise one fifth share to be divided between them. I give and bequeath unto my daughter Mrs. Martha Peale and her Heirs one fifth share. I also give and bequeath unto such children of my deceased son George McGlathery as may be living at the time of my demise of one fifth share to be divided equally between them and I do hereby nominate constitute and appoint Ebeneezer Ferguson, Esq. and Richard Robinett, Merchant of Philadelphia, Executors of my Last Will and Testement hereby revoking all former Wills and Testaments by me made and do declare this to be my Last.
In witnefs whereof I do here unto set my hand and seal this day nineteenth day of July in the year of Our Lord one Thousand Eight Hundered and twenty-five

Philadelphia February 22nd 1830 There appeared Garnett Rickman, John DuBois and George Cullins the subscribing witnefs it to the forgoing Will and on there solemn oath according to the Law did see and here Margaret McGlathery the Testator in the forgoing will named, make her mark, seal publish and declare the same … and for her Last Will and Testament and that at the doing thereof she was of sound mind memory and understanding to the best of their knowledge and belief.
