I am researching Noah Gurganus (bir 1840) and his service in the Civil War, however, I am running into apparently up to three contridicting profiles of a Noah Gurganus born around 1840 from Martin County. I have two "noah's" serving in the 1st Regiment and in the 17th Regiment at the same time. With all the records I find I see: Noah Gurganus, Noah Gurganus Jr, Noah T. Gurganus, and Noah Gurganus Sr. I would love to find out what regiment MY Noah Gurganus who was married to Mary Jane Rogerson. Helllllpppp
