  • Newspaper, : JESS C GIBBS, 82, Beloved Husband, Father, and Grandfather passed from this world and joined his beloved wife Doris in the arms of our Lord on December 19th, 2007. J.C. was born December 27th, 1924 in Slick Oklahoma, and passed away December 19th, 2007 in Sour Lake Texas surrounded by Family and Friends. He was preceded in death by his wife, Doris, and Parents, George and Edna Gibbs. He is survived by his Daughter, Rebecca and Son (in law) Billy Marriott; Granddaughter, Connie Marriott; Grandson Jessie Marriott and Granddaughter (in law) Sara; Great Grandchildren, Rebecca, Alexander, Bradley, Devin, Brett, Landon, Joshua, and Evelynne; Sisters, Ann Burks, Freddie Runyon and Husband Phillip, Pat Salsman, and Husband Byron, Kay Hared, and Husband Paul. Also surviving are numerous Nieces, Nephews, and Loving Friends. J.C. was a long term resident of Deer Park TX where he retired from Phillips Petroleum Company after 42 years of service. He was a veteran of World War II where he served with honor in the US Navy. J.C. will be remembered for his patience and wisdom, and his willingness to give his guidance. J.C. was loved and will be missed by many Family and Friends. Visitation will be held from 5-8 PM Friday December 21st at Cashner Funeral home in Conroe, TX. A memorial service will be held at 12:30 PM Saturday, December 22nd at Cashner Funeral Home immediately followed by graveside services at Conroe Memorial Park Cemetery.
