She was born Oct. 5, 1910, in Boone, Iowa, to John and Ethel Hinman Eggenberger. She moved with her parents to Ottawa in 1917. She attended Ottawa schools and graduated from Ottawa High School in 1927. She worked at the Pennant Inn in Ottawa several years.
She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Ottawa many years and United Methodist Women. She was a member of Gen. Edward Hand Chapter of Daughters of the American Revolution and Ransom Memorial Hospital auxiliary, both in Ottawa. She was a volunteer for the American Red Cross and for Elks Lodge No. 803 in Ottawa many years.
She married Glenn John Wicke Feb. 5, 1931, in Ottawa. He died Aug. 26, 1991.
Survivors include a son, Jim Wicke, Lenexa; three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at First United Methodist Church in Ottawa.
Burial will be in Highland Cemetery in Ottawa.
Mrs. Wicke will lie in state after 11 a.m. today at Lamb-Roberts-Heise Funeral Home in Ottawa where relatives and friends will meet from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the building fund at First United Methodist Church in Ottawa, 66067.
