Elizabeth Redfern Watt

Birth1810

Death10 JUN 1877

4859/1877
Aged: 67.4 years
A check with Irish records for Elizabeth's siblings births, all have their father recorded as "Andrew". As none of these items could have had the same author as Elizabeth's death certificate, I will take that as authorative, and the mystery solved. I do have to agree though that the handwriting on Elizabeth's death certificate is the worst I have ever seen.

I do not agree that Elizabeth Redfern Watt's father was Andrew Watt. I have looked at her Death Certificate and it reads "unknown" Watt for her father. At first blush the entry could be mistaken for "Andrew" Watt. On further consideration it is definitely 'unknown' Watt.

I believe this mistake has been widely circulated. However, if anyone has any further or certain proof of who Elizabeth's father was it would solve an intrigue for many of the Watt family.

Trust someone has a positive response to this point. I will be more than happy to be informed.
