  • Obituary, 6/28/1889: Obituary: "Passed from earth into a beter land, on the 26th, in the 65th year of her age, Mrs. Aseneth Beasley [Aseneath Heckstall], the wife of Thomas Beasley, near Coleraine, this county. "She had suffered about ten days from some painful disorder, supposed to be Bright's disease. "She leaves a family of seven and a host of grandchildren, all of whom loved her, revered her, and deeply mourn her loss. "She was a good mother, which is evidenced by the fact of hte great love borne to her children who were dutiful and affectionate during her health, and strictly attentive, untiring, devoted, and restlessly solictious during her illness. "She was a kind friend. She helped the needy, profoundly sympathized with those in sorrow and never knew when she had done enough to alleviate suffering, and to make people happier. "She was a consistent Christian. No one came nearer living up to the Golden Rule, in her intercourse with people, than she. She was disinterested, unselfish, loved her friend, and derived much happiness from being thus. "Her death has made a great vacancy in her household, and produced an irreparable loss to her children and friends. But our consolation is she's in a better land, we know. June 28, 1889"
