Hello, while doing some research on my Randolph and Osborne lineage I came across your site. I contacted the Colonial Williamsburg Foundation in regards to the information found on your site and received the following response (below).
I believe we may both be researching the same lineage so I wanted to let you know what their response was in regards to the information on your site.
I would be very interested in discussing this line with you via email if you would contact me at c b u r k e 1 @ k c . r r . c o m (delete spaces).
I had not heard the name Mildred MARTHA MONTAGUE Thompson but rather just Mildred Thompson and I am interested in learning more about that.
Please contact me, I look forward to hearing from you.

========================================

Your inquiry was referred to the reference staff in the Rockefeller Library of the Colonial Williamsburg Foundation.

It would appear that the “Our family Tree” web page you referenced has confused two different John Randolphs. Sir John Randolph (husband of Susannah Beverley and father of Beverley, Peyton, John “the Tory”, and Mary) had no middle name. Also, he was born in 1693 and died on March 2, 1736/7. Furthermore, it seems unlikely that a man could have a child by a first wife in “about 1724” and a child by a second wife in 1720.

We have no information on John Thomas Randolph (1704-1735?), husband of Mildred Martha Montague. To the best of our knowledge, however, Sir John Randolph (1693-1736/7) was the only Randolph of Virginia who received a knighthood.

I did locate a couple of references to John and Ann Osborne Randolph, but those sources have no indication of this John Randolph's parents. We have a two-volume Ph.D. dissertation on the Randolph family that included Sir John Randolph, but I see no mention in it of John Thomas Randolph (m. Mildred Montague) or John and Ann Osborne Randolph. John Thomas and Sir John might have had common Randolph ancestors, but we have no verification of that.

According to a brief article based on Bible records in volume 26 of the Virginia Magazine of History & Biography, page 312, the Anne Osborne who married a John Randolph was the daughter of Thomas Osborne of Prince William County, Virginia. Her husband John's will was dated September 11, 1789, and proved in Prince William County on November 5, 1789. His legatees were wife Anne, sons John, Thomas Osborne, and William, and daughters Sarah, Peggy, Betsy, Mary Ann, Mildred Oliver, Mary Tyler, and Frances.

I wish I could have been more helpful. Good luck with your research, and thank you for contacting Colonial Williamsburg.

Sincerely,
Del Moore
