Charles T. Diamond, 63, of 21 Hanratty Street died Friday in this city. Born in Rosendale, he was employed as a painting contractor. He was a member of St. Mary's Church and the Holy Name Society of the church, Rescue Hook and Ladder Co., and the Painter Union, Local 255. Surviving are his wife, the former Louise Schupp; six sons, Donald, Charles, Edward and Francis, all of this city; and John of Puerto Rico and Pfc. Henry Diamond of Fort Huachuca, Ariz.; four daughters, Mrs. Christian Ortlief (sic) Jr. of Paramus, N.J.; Mrs. Frank Kennelly Jr., Mrs. Ralph Garafalo and Mrs. Donald Gallagher, all of this city; a step-father, Captain Edward Albrecht; two brothers, Joseph Diamond and Edward Albrecht; three sisters, Mrs. Richard Smith, Mrs. Daniel Cramer and Mrs. Edward Tuey, all of Kingston; also 15 grandchildren. The funeral will be held Tuesday 9 a.m. from James M. Murphy Funeral Home, 176 Broadway; thence to St. Mary's Church where at 9:30 a.m. a high Mass of requiem will be offered for the repose of his soul. Burial will be in St. Peter's Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. beginning today.
