MRS CLINTON SWOGAR
Salina T Jester was born in Morgan County, Missouri, in the year 1872 and died at the home of her sister, Mrs Nannie M Jones and family, where she as visiting, in Harrisonville Mo on Saturday morning, March 29, 1919 at about 5 o’clock, after an illness of only a few hours. The cause of her death was chronic asthma and heart trouble.
She was married to Clinton Swogar, February 5, 1891, and to their union three children were born, all of whom survive their mother. They are: Melvin E Swogar, with the American Expeditionary Forces in France; Mrs Ralph Morrison of Freeman, Mo and Miss Lena Swogar, who makes her home with her father. Besides her husband and children, she leaves behind her parents, Mr and Mrs William Jester of Harrisonville; two brothers, John L Jester of Lone Tree and Ed Jester of near Harrisonville and four sisters, Mrs Nannie M Jones, Mrs Jacob H Davis and Mrs Richard D VanCamp, all of Harrisonville and vicinity and Mrs Charles Duncan of Lisle, Mo, all of whom join in thanking their many friends for kindliness rendered and for the beautiful floral offerings.
The funeral was held Sunday afternoon at Freeman, the services being in charge of the Rev Franklin L Stillions, a Baptist minister of Drexel and burial was made in the Freeman Cemetery-Demo 4-3-1919.
