Walter Raymond Bowes, 69, Harrisonville, died May 20 at Research Medical Center.
Mr Bowes was born Feb 21, 1911, at West Line, a son of Charlie E Bowes and Mary Emily Bowes. He married Pearl M Musick in 1952 in Independence.
Surviving are his wife of the home; a son, Donald R Bowes of Mountain Grove, Mo; two brothers, Karl F Bowes of Louisburg, Kan and Robert E Bowes, of Paola, Kan; two sisters, Martha A Milner of Kansas City and Mary L Lacy of Raytown; three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, Lloyd A Bowes, Kenneth L Bowes and James B Bowes, and a sister, Nellie J Little.
Services under direction of the Runnenburger Funeral Home were held May 23, with David Zeller officiating. Pallbearers were Donald Gates, Jim Howell, Jim Shouse, Arthur Cooley, Karl DeShazer and Theron DeShazer. Burial was in Lee's Summit Cemetery.

Ruby Geneva Stark, 91, Harrisonville, died Sunday, Aug. 14, 2005, at Crown Care Center, Harrisonville. She was born Sept. 16, 1913, in West Line, the daughter of James Wilson and Cora Elizabeth (Duncan) Brown.
On Aug. 19, 1951, she married James Bertrum Stark in Kansas City. Mrs. Stark was a lifelong Cass County resident. She had lived in Freeman before moving to Harrisonville in 1995. She had been employed for Pratt-Whitney during the war and later worked at Research Medical Center as a nurse's aide.
Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, James, Aprl 26, 1999; and a son.
Surviving are a granddaughter, Donna Lainhart, McKee, KY; two grandsons, Donald Ray Bowes Jr., Phoenix, Ariz., and Lenzie Ray Bowes, Cameron, Texas; four great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson.
Services were Wednesday, Aug 17, 2005, at the Atkinson Chapel in Harrisonville with the Rev. Henry Green officiating. Burial was in the Freeman Cemetery, Freeman, under the direction of the Atkinson Funeral Home, Harrisonville.
