LXXXVII. -- Robert F. Williams was born in Iuka, Miss., October 8, 1873, When he was three years old his parents removed to Corinth, Miss., where he attended public school during his youth and received a public school education. At the age of sixteen he left home and went into a railroad office at Wilson, La., for the purpose of learning telegraphy. Here he remained for eight months obtaining a fair knowledge of telegraphy and railroad office work. He then decided to attend school again, and accordingly went to Mississippi College, Clinton during the school year of 1892-93.
