Rex Lyle Ashcraft passed away at home on Saturday, January 3rd, 2004 at the age of 88. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Friday January 9th, at the Nampa Idaho South LDS Stake Center, 7809 Deer Flat Road. Arrangements are under the direction of Zeyer Funeral Chapel, Nampa.

Rex was born September 18th, 1915, at Teton, to Enoch Ashcraft and Eliza Purser Ashcraft. He resided in the Nampa and Rupert area. Rex married Bernice Nelson on August 6th, 1938. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple. Rex earned his livelihood working in floor covering and home furnishings. He retired in 1983.

Rex and Bernice served an LDS mission for their church in 1990.

He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers, four sisters, and one great-grandson.

Survivors include his wife; children: Letha (Ron) Fuller, Ken (Sandra) Ashcraft, Ron (Jeanne) Ashcraft, Dianne (Marty) Riches, Becky (Torsten) Kunkel, Tauna (Dave) Landrum; 40 grandchildren and 75 great-grandchildren.
