Tobias B Duncan, was born in Coshocton County, Ohio, Oct 20, 1836, and died May 20, 1927, aged 90 years, 7 months at the home of his granddaughter Mrs G E Duffey of Hoyt, Kansas, where he has made his home the last three years.
Mr Duncan is survived by four daughters: Mrs Oscar Smith of Nevada City, Calif; Mrs Isaac Cook of Reno, Nevada; Mrs Ward Harpley of Cleveland, Ohio; and Mrs Hersh Gutherie of Akron, Ohio, one sister and one brother, Mrs B J Lower of Fresno, Ohio and Joseph Duncan of Conway Springs, Kansas. Nineteen grandchildren, twenty great- grandchildren and one great- great grandchild.
Funeral services were held at the Hoyt Baptist Church at 2 o'clock Sunday, May22. Interment was made in the Hoyt Cemetery.- Holmes County Farmer Hub 6-1-1927

Funeral services will be held at the Duncan home Monday morning at 9 o'clock, with Rev. Rvann officiating. Interment will be in Shanesville Cemetery.
She was born on a farm in Keene tp. February 2, 1844, daughter of Robert and Susan Miller, and lived most of her life in Coshocton Co. She was twice married, her first husband, Tobias Duncan, and her second, William Corruthers, both preceding in death. She was a lifelong member of the Presbyterian church.
Others surviving are one granddaughter and two great-grandchildren.
