pres. by Thomas, Lord Dundas, in July,
and adm. 26th Sept. that year ; died 10th
June 1849. He marr. 16th Aug. 1796,
Penelope (died 24th Sept. 1805, aged 37),
daugh. of John Macaulay, min. of Cardross,
and had issue-William, fleet-surgeon R.N.,
born 8th Jan. 1798, died 1832 ; John Macaulay,
M.D., born 28th Nov. 1799, went
to Canada ; Thomas Babington, born 19th
Aug. 1801, died 1832 ; Colin Macaulay,
born 25th April 1803, died 1832 ; Zachary
Macaulay, D.D., min. of Bressay, Burra,
and Quarflf, born 12th Jan. 1805. Publication-
