Lehigh Valley Engineer Dies
Oscar Simons, aged 41, an employee of the Lehigh Valley Railroad Co., died at his home, 70 Prospect street, Sunday of peritonitis after a short illness. He was well known and was highly respected by everyone, especially his fellow workmen. He had been an employee of the Lehigh Valley road about fifteen years, starting as a brakeman and being promoted to fireman and about six years ago was made extra engineer, being at all times a most efficient and trustworthy employee. He is survived by his wife and two children, Sterling and Ruth. The funeral will be held from the family home Tuesday at a time to be announced later.
