Lyman Leon "Lenny" Jones, JR., 73, of Liberty, MS, passed away February 19, 2015 at his residence.

Visitation will be tonight at Bethel Baptist Church in Liberty from 5:00 until 8:00 PM and continues Saturday from 10:00 until service at 11:00 AM at the Church. Rev. Dusty Rhodes will officiate. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Jones Family Funeral Services is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Jones was born on January 23, 1942 in Amite County, MS. He was the son of Lyman Leon Jones, Sr. and Evelyn Smith Jones.

He retired from South Central Bell. He was a member of Bethel Baptist Church in Liberty, Masonic Lodge # 37, and the Telephone Pioneers of America. He served on many mission trip with the Mississippi Nailbenders Association. He loved hunting, Fishing, the Ole Miss Rebels and watching the Centreville Academy Tigers and ASC Rebels.

Mr. Jones was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Nancy Dixon Jones; one daughter, Lisa Renee Jones; one brother, Donald Jones and one sister, Ann Jones Whittington.

Survivors include his wife, Peggy Rushing Jones of Liberty; one son, Joshua Jones and wife Sarah of Ponchatoula, LA; two daughters, Tara Jones LeBlanc and husband Stewart of Kentwood, LA and Dana Jones Haygood and husband Kyle of Liberty, MS; two brothers, Preston Jones and Mike Jones both of Liberty; three stepsons, Richard Rushing and wife Cassandra, Tommy Rushing and wife Sandy and Christopher Rushing and wife Vickie all of Gloster, MS; six grandchildren, Caitlynn Jones, Jake Haygood, Charlie LeBlanc, Sawyer LeBlanc, Lelia Jones and Sofia Jones and seven step grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Christopher Rushing, Roy Havard, Russell Knighton, Matt Hardin, Nathan Mathis, Christopher "CJ" Jones and Jake Haygood.

Nancy Lynn Dixon Jones, 57, of Liberty, died July 1, 2010, at Liberty Community Living Center after a courageous battle with breast cancer.

Visitation is 5 to 8 tonight at Bethel Baptist Church, Liberty, and continues there 9 a.m. Saturday until services at 10. The Rev. Walt Gaston, the Rev. Dusty Rhodes and the Rev. Kevin Smith will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Jones Family Funeral Services in McComb is handling arrangements.

Mrs. Jones was born April 2, 1953, in Liberty to Harold and Beatrice Dixon.

She graduated from Amite School Center and was employed as office manager at Liberty Community Living Center.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Claudia Faye Dixon and Gaynell Dixon Chaney; and a stepdaughter, Lisa Renee Jones.

Survivors include her husband, Lenny Jones of Liberty; two daughters and sons-in-law, Tara and Stewart LeBlanc of Kentwood, La., and Dana and Kyle Haygood of Liberty; a son and daughter-in-law, Joshua and Sarah Jones of Hammond, La.; four grandchildren, Jake Haygood and Caitlynn Jones of Liberty, and Charlie and Sawyer LeBlanc of Kentwood; a fifth grandchild expected in December; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Wayne and Vivian Dixon of Osyka, Kenneth and Margaret Dixon of Liberty and Tom and Carolyn Dixon of Houston, Texas; three sisters and two brothers-in-law, Jackie and Randy Braswell of Magnolia, Betty Dixon of Liberty, and Kathy and Earlo Duck of Petal; two brothers-in-law, Preston Jones and his wife Gwen, and Mike Jones, all of Liberty; a sister-in-law, Ann Whittington and her husband Mike of Gloster; numerous nieces, nephews and extended family at Liberty Community Living Center.

Pallbearers will be Nathan Mathis, Roy Havard, Russell Knighton, Rusty Knighton, Eric Yelverton and Justin Kirkland.
