Mrs. Walter Ronk, 68, of Bruynswick Road, RD Wallkill, died Thursday at Kingston Hospital after a brief illness. She was the former Miriam Ackert, daughter of the late Lewis and Katie Roosa Ackert. She was born in New Paltz April 7, 1894. She was married in 1918 to Walter Ronk. For the past 20 years she had made her home near Wallkill on the farm that she and her husband owned and operated. Surviving in addition to her husband are two brothers, Lewis and Herman Ackert, both of New Paltz; two sisters, Mrs. Arthur Van Leuven of New Paltz and Mrs. Ralph King of Newburgh; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Sunday 2 p.m. at the Pine Funeral Home Inc., New Paltz with the Rev. Gerrett J. Wullscheleger of New Paltz Reformed Church officiating. Burial will be in the New Paltz Rural Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home tonight and Saturday evening.
