Rev. Leonidas Rosser, A.M., D.D., our second minister, is recorded as a remarkable man -- an editor, author, orator, and evangelist. A man of culture and energy. He was honored repeatedly by a seat in the Methodist senate, and time and again as an advisor to the Bishops. He was tall of both figure and stature, his full flowing gray locks, patriarchal beard, face of intense gaze, brought to mind the picture of an old prophet.
Leonidas Rosser was born in Petersburg, Va., July 31, 1815.
