Obituary, : Lowmansville Native Passes After Stroke Kennie Hatfield, age 70, passed away at 8:30 p.m. Wednesday, January 27, in the Louisa General Hospital after a two week illness following a stroke. He was born August 18, 1888 at Lowmansville the son of Lewis and Mary Young Hatfield, and had resided at Lowmansville all his life, he was a retired farmer. He was married to Rosa Brown Hatfield, who survives, in addition to three sons, Charlie Hatfield, Mt. Vernon, Ohio; Beecher Hatfield, Henrietta, Oklahoma; Chester Hatfield, Columbus, Ohio and eight daughters, Maggie Skaggs, Gallipolis, Ohio; Florence Williams, Fallsburg, Ohio; Camie Hatfield, Lowmansville; Oma Skaggs, and Mona Brown both of Columbus, Ohio; Joyce Miller, Monroe, Michigan, Julia Adkins, Dayton, Ohio, and Louise Greg, Marysville, Ohio; and one sister, Julia Murray, Ashland. Funeral services were held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, January 31, at the Lowmansville Enterprise Baptist Church with Ellis Hamilton, Bruce Daniel and Scott Griffith as officiating ministers. Burial followed in the Hatfield cemetery at Lowmansville. Printed: February 04, 1959
