He served in World War II with the U.S. Army, then served in the Korean War with U.S. Marines Corp. J.V. worked as a heavy equipment operator until his retirement. He was a 32nd Degree Mason in the Edmond Lodge. Survived by mother, Hazel Buckley, Edmond; brothers, Orville Buckley, Edmond, George Buckley, Texas, Charles Buckley, Checotah, Floyd Buckley, Edmond, Richard Buckley, Blackwell and Harvey Buckley, Edmond; sister, Delores Cleaver, Edmond.
