Very little information is certain. Joseph and John Charles are both shown as widowers in the 1880 census. No candidate for either spouse has been located. The child Ginnie is found only in the 1870 census; Andrew is found only in the 1870 and 1880 censuses. Henry is not found with this family or in any census before 1900. The son, Andrew, is beleived to be the Henry Cherigo in the 1900 census.
Andrew Cherego (1870 and 1880 census) is born about 1867 and is likely the son of Charles or Joseph. I consider him the son of Joseph because Joseph is older. In 1870, Joseph is 31 and Ginnie is 6 and Andrew is 4. John Charles is just 21. Also, Henry F Cherigo is born in 1868 and it is the only continuation of the Cherigo name (as an adult around 1900.) I suspect Henry was called "Andrew" in memory of Andrew Valentini who passed about the time Henry was born (1868). I show them as two different children for now because I may get better information later.
