Obituary, 23 AUG 1928: "Deaths: J. E. MCGLATHERY Logansport, Aug 22 (Special).-- James Edward McGlathery, 44 years old, died Tuesday at the home of his sister, Miss Minnie Hewitt. He is survived by two daughters, the Misses Mildred and Hazel McGlathery of San Antonio, Texas, three sisters, Mrs. C. L. Barfoot of Shreveport, Miss Minnie Hewitt, and Alice Lyles of Logansport, and two brothers, A. D. McGlathery of Logansport and J. W. Hewitt of Birmingham, Ala. Funeral services were held Wednesday morning at the Christian church, conducted by the Rev. W. E. Perry and the Rev. L. C. Riley. Obituary, 15 NOV 1942: "DEATHS: MISS MINNE HEWITT' Logansport, Nov. 14 (Special) Funeral services for Miss Minnie Hewitt, 70, pioneer Logansport resident who died Thursday after a long illness, were held today at the Christian church by the Rev. W. O. Lynch, Methodist pastor, and the Rev. B. H. Dodd) Baptist minister. Burial was In city cemetery.
Surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Allie Lyles of Logansport and Mrs. Cora Barfield of Shreveport; two brothers, A. D, McGlathery of Logansport and J. W. Hewitt of Birmingham.
