Newspaper, 15 MAY 1901: "'Death of J. S. McGlathery' The Mobile Special says Mr. J. S. McGlathery, a citizen of St. Stephens, died this morning at Inge-Bondurant Sanitorium of bright s disease. Mr. McGlathery came here only four days ago to be treated for the malady that he succumbed to. He was a brother-in-law of Geo. S. Leatherbury, and quite well known in Mobile. He was 45 years of age and leaves a family in St. Stephens. The remains were taken to the home of John O. Grisham this morning and will be carried to St. Stephens for internment.
The deceased was a former Corinthian, and was a brother of Mrs. J. F. Williams and Misses Mattie and Emmie McGlathery of Corinth." --"The Weekly Corinthian," Corinth, Miss., 15 MAY 15, 1901, p. 4 _____________
