Fern Elizabeth Borer, 72, Holden, passed away Friday, Sept. 13, 1974 at her home.
She was born in Freeman on Oct. 26, 1901, a daughter of Henry and Ida May Duncan. She was reared in Freeman and was a graduate of Central Missouri State University, Warrensburg.
She married Eugene A. Borer in Hickman Mills, on Aug. 22, 1928; they were the parents of one son and one daughter.
Mrs. Borer was a school teacher over 35 years, having taught in several schools in Kansas and Missouri. She retired from teaching while at the Kingsville School in 1970.
Mrs. Borer had been a resident of the Holden area since 1947. She was a member of the Freeman Christian Church.
She is survived by her husband Eugene A. Borer; a daughter Miss Elaine Borer, both of he home; one son Walter Borer, Pleasant Hill; two brothers Leonard Duncan, Freeman, and Frank Duncan, West Line; and three grandchildren; Dennis, Nancy, and Darryl.
Services were held Saturday Sept. 14 at the Ben Cast and Son Funeral Home, Holden. Interment was at the Holden Cemetery.
