Richard Mailen "Dick" Horch, 84, passed away Thursday, January 26th 2012 in Frederick, MD.

Born March 10, 1927 in Columbus, Ohio, he was the son of Fred and Wilda Horch.

He leaves behind his loving wife, Florence Horch; son David Horch (Rebecca); daughters Dianne Stull and Drue McAllister (Brian); daughter-in- law Kaylie Horch; stepson GreggRiebesehl(Karen); grandchildren Timothy and Andrew Stull, Jessica and Kelsey Horch, Mia and Mason Horch; great-grandchildren Noah and Chase Stull, niece Jeanette (Horch) Ellisor, step-grandchildren Amanda and Derek Riebesehl, and sister-in-law Sara Horch.

He was preceded in death by his brother Dan, son Douglas, granddaughter Lindsay Stull, and first wife Dolores Noland Horch.

During the course of his career he served as Director of Personnel Services at Princeton University and held similar positions at RCA, Marriott, and Frederick Electronics.

He served as president of the school board in Lawrenceville N.J. where he was instrumental in the building of the Lawrenceville High School. He was a member ofthe Kiwanis Club in Frederick Maryland and Augusta Maine for many years, and served as a deacon of the Lawrenceville Presbyterian Church. He was most recently a member of the Englewood United Methodist Church.

Dick was an accomplished golfer as well as an unrelenting fan of the Ohio State Buckeyes.

A memorial service for close family and friends will be held at a later date.

Ms. Dolores "Doe" Slaughter Noland Horch, 82, of Walkersville, passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by family on Tuesday, Dec. 14, 2010.

Born May 14, 1928, in Conesville, Ohio, she was the daughter of Dewey Henry and Opal Slaughter Noland.

She is survived by her daughter, Dianne Horch Stull; son, David Horch (Rebecca); daughter, Drue Horch McAllister (Brian); and daughter-in-law, Kaylie Horch; sisters, Maggie Noland Blackburn (Paul), Betty Ann Noland Sigler, Wanda Noland Lawton (Jim), Judy Noland Knotts and Marilyn Noland; grandchildren, Timothy Stull, Andrew Stull, Jessica Horch, Kelsey Horch, Mia Horch and Mason Horch; great-grandchildren, Noah Stull and Chase Stull. She is also survived by her former husband, Richard Horch.

She was preceded in death by brothers, Dean Noland and Bruce Noland; a granddaughter, Lindsay Stull; and a son, Douglas Horch.

She was always very active in her community, including president/board of directors at Gale House, Frederick Memorial Hospital, and the Walkersville Business and Professional Association.

She was a member of the Frederick County Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution.

Before moving to Frederick, she and husband Richard lived in Lawrenceville, N.J., where she was active in the Lawrenceville Presbyterian Church, The Women's Club at Lawrenceville Prep School and various activities at Princeton University.

Most recently, she enjoyed being chief of special events for Walkersville Southern Railroad.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Red Cross.

The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday, Dec. 17, at Stauffer Funeral Home, 40 Fulton Ave., Walkersville. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 18, at the funeral home; Pastor Stephen W. Humphrey will officiate.

Interment will be in Resthaven Memorial Gardens.
