DoB: 10 Nov 1806 is found in the famly bible (image attached.) Some show a date of 9 Dec which may be found in the "Brethren of Northern Illinois" p 182. Probably an error.

The year 1848 brought in other Brethren from Ohio and Pennsylvania. Some of these settled on Yellow Creek, whence the name chosen when the congregation was organized. Among these were Daniel Fry from the Nimishillen congregation, Ohio, and family, Jacob Delp and Benjamin Kepner, who located in Jo Daviess County. Brought his family from Stark County, Ohio, to Stephenson County, Ill., 1848. That same year Yellow Creek Congregation was organized and he was placed in charge, a position he held until his death. He was considered a father in Israel by all. At the age of seventy-one he was sent to Denmark to help organize the Church of the Brethren. [Brethren in N IL and WI]
