According to Lineage Book 19, D.A.R., Charles Deake, (1738-1803), served as a private from Albany county under Col. Lewis Van Woert. He was at Bennington where his wife succored the prisoners.

Helped set up a Baptist church  in White Creek, Washington, New York, a church organized by Rev. William Waite.
