Capt. Clifford Frank Mlinar
Aged: 85 years
Mr. Mlinar was born Oct. 11, 1917, in Stanton, Neb. He grew up in Columbus, Neb., and attended University of Nebraska from 1936 to 1941, completing the education and business administration program. In 1960, he attended University of Texas, completing the executive development program.
He served in U.S. Infantry 3rd Division during World War II from 1941 to 1945. He received 11 European Theater Battle Stars, the Croix de Guerre with palm and the Presidential Unit Citation with two palms.
He married Peggy on Jan. 4, 1942. In 1945, he went to work for Southwestern Public Service as a clerk in the engineering department. He retired on Oct. 31, 1982, as vice president of consumer services and administration.
Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Lynda Kizer of Littleton, Colo.; two brothers, Frank Mlinar of Greeley, Colo., and Dick Mlinar of Corpus Christi; two grandsons; and two great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Mlinar was born in Amarillo on Feb. 27, 1920. She was the daughter of Murray and Nora Knopp Elson. Survivors include a daughter, Lynda Cecile Mlinar Kizer and husband, Jim, of Littleton, Colo.; two grandsons, Jay Kizer and wife, Shannon, of Fort Worth and Kurt Kizer of Frisco, Colo.; and two great-grandchildren, Jenner and Abby Kizer, both of Fort Worth.
