BIOGRAPHY: Notes from "Colonial Families of Southern States of America, page 71, Bolling Family" refer to Robert Bolling as the Honorable Robert Bolling. He was the founder of the family in VA. He arrived in the Colony 2 Oct 1660 and soon attained to fortune and prominence in affairs of both Church and State. In 1858, his remains were removed from "Kippax" to the mausoleum at Blandford Cemetery, erected by his great grandson. He was first married to Jane Rolfe in 1675. She died in 1676. She was the daughter of Lt.
