Cause: acute alcoholism
Andrew Jackson Musick, Jack as he was familiarly known, died at the home of his brother, Lon Musick, on Wednesday, September 9, at 1 pm. Jack fell some time ago and injured his ankle. It seemed to be getting better the first few days, then infection set in causing paralysis, which resulted in his death.
Jack had lived here all his life and had many friends, as was attested by the many acts of kindness by his friends and also the beautiful floral offerings.
The funeral services were held at the house Thursday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock, and were conducted by Hubert Austin, and interment in Freeman Cemetery. The sympathy of this community is extended to the sister and brothers in their bereavement.
Andrew Jackson Musick was born in Freeman, Cass County, Missouri, March 29, 1884, and had been a resident of this community until the day of his death, which occurred on the 9th day of September, 1925, at the age of 41 years and 6 months.
He leaves six brothers and one sister to mourn their loss, and a number of friends and acquaintances who will miss him.
