I am the great great granddaughter of Ransom Gurganus and Louisa Lilley. My great grandmother. Mary Jane Gurganus, married Benjamin F. Gibson. They had a daughter named Annie Mae Gibson who married my grandfather John Abram Cullipher. My mother's name was Viola Gertrude Cullipher. I have not subscribed to your site, because I can't add any more information that would be of interest to the Gurganus line, but I really want to know who Ransom Gurganus and Louise Lilley were descended from. I want to think he was the son of Reubin Gurganus since the were both from Pinetown, NC but I can't prove it. If you are interested, Benjamim Franklin Gibson was born on 11/15/1858 and died on 3/18/1941. Mary Jane Gurganus was born on 10/10/1856 and died on 6/6/1945. They were married on 2/18/1884. I have a copy of their marriage certificate. Please contact me if you have any more information that I might be interested in, or if you want to know more about the Cullipher line. Thinks. I have enjoyed browsing you site.
