I've 12 pages from this publication containing articles on Wynn families and others. It should be noted that there are a number of interesting photographs but the copies I have would not be suitable for the photo reproduction. There are articles on the following families and more.

Ashley D. Wynne, Sr. Family

Historical Southern Families by Boddie.
I have copies of pages 267 through 275. I think Vol. II
Chapter is titled "Wynn - Wynne of North Carolina".
It begins, George Wynne, born about 1675, died 1751, in Bertie County, married Rose Bush, daughter of Martha and William Bush of Isle Wight County, Virginia. (Grimes 58, 425)
Hand written note on first page to see correction Bible Record makes.

The parents of this George Wynne has long been a brick wall, over 40 years for me. There is some slim evidence on who his father might be and nothing beyond that but it's not the person, John Wynns, presently shown. I've seen this one before and it turned out to be just speculation and wishful thinking. This John should be disconnected as father of George.
We can be fairly certain that this George Wynne-Rose Bush lineage ties into Watkin William Wynn in Wales. Collecting information over the years on the descendants of George Wynne and Rose Bush I found the name Watkin William Wynn or William Watkin Wynn repeats in all the various branches over and over again. It is made more significient in that the name does not appear in any of the other Wynn/Winn, ect. lineages in the United States. It can be expected that DNA evidence will eventually bear this out.
Sincerely,
Dennis Ray Wynn b.4 Oct 1939

I have information on Capt. George Wynns and Rose bush linking them to my maternal grandmother's side of the family. It has been traced back to my grandmothers 9th great grandfather. My great grandmother was a Wynn before she married a Roberson. I found the parents of George Wynns. If you have already found this information since this post please forgive me for taking up your time. please email me if you would like the information that i have
