Deceased Name: PETER RICHARD SMITH
Peter Richard Smith, 60, of State College died Thursday, Nov. 21, 1996, at Centre Community Hospital.
He was born March 20, 1936, in Philadelphia, a son of the late Kins-ley R. and Rosanna English Smith. In State College on Dec. 21, 1957, he married Evelyn Dreibelbis, who survives in State College.
He was a 1954 graduate of State College Area High School. He was a member of Pine Hall United Church of Christ.
He was a self-employed excavator.
He enjoyed fishing, hunting and working on vehicles.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by one daughter, Leanne Wendell of Fredericksburg, Va.; two sons, Robert of State College and Brian of Laguna Beach, Calif.; two sisters, Nancy S. Johnson of State College and Shelby A. Smith of El Paso, Texas; and one grandson.
Friends will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. at Eloise B. Kyper Funeral Home Inc., 1034 Benner Pike, State College. A private funeral will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at the fun-eral home, with the Rev. Michael Guisewhite officiating. Burial will be at Pine Hall Cemetery in State College.
